Subject: Sit-in at the Ross Building…still going on tonight, into tomorrow!
***please forward widely, especially to department listservs, community groups and sister unions!!***
Dear Members of CUPE 3903 and allies,
I write to you from the 9th floor of the Ross Building, where we are holding strong with a sit-in outside of President Shoukri’s office! There are about 30 of us now and we’re getting ready to spend the night. The demands are simple and attainable: that Shoukri come talk to us, answer a series of questions we have prepared about the strike, and agree to participate in a public forum during the first week in January.
Our numbers are good, but we can definitely use more people tomorrow. Glendon and Main Gate will still be up, and there is the action at King and Bay, but I would really encourage people to come here for all or part of tomorrow.
Drop by, lend some support, and stay if you can!
Simon
