Monday - Magnificent Mailout! - Starts at 9 AM, EOB Office

All members are invited to the East Office Building on Monday, starting at 9 AM, to participate in a mailout in preparation for the Special GMM.  Drop in anytime; the more people we have, the faster it goes, and we’re grateful for any amount of help you can give.  Members who spend three hours or more will receive a $50 honorarium.  So join us Monday, and become part of an exhilarating whirlwind of industriousness!

Wednesday - Moving Party, 10 AM, Strike HQ

All members are also cordially invited to a moving party, wherein we will be saying farewell to Strike HQ at 635 Petrolia, and moving most of our office equipment back to the regular union office on campus.  There shall be pizza.  Bring your organizational skills, your biceps, and/or your friends, and join Carolyn at Strike HQ at ten Wednesday morning.

Thursday - Special GMM on Back-to-Work Strategies, 11 AM, 102 Accolade East Keele Campus

WHAT: Special GMM – Back-to-Work Strategies

WHEN: Thursday, February 26, 11 am

WHERE: 102 Accolade East, Keele Campus
Many members have been talking about strategizing around back to work legislation in a variety of different ways; this includes challenging the constitutionality of the legislation, [re]starting a work-to-rule campaign, and a variety of other potential actions.

Since there has been such interest around having such a discussion, the 3903 executive has decided to call a special GMM to talk about these issues. What is the rationale for a special GMM? We rarely get to engage in a full discussion centered specifically on actions that we can take on as a membership. This space will give members a chance to brainstorm and come to some action points that we can take enact as a local.

The following is a tentative agenda for the meeting:
I. Equality Statement (5)

II. Rationale for the Agenda (5)

III. Agenda (10)

IV. Minutes (10)

V. Plenary (90)
a. Back to Work Legislation  (30)

b. Work to Rule (30)

break (10)

c. Publicity/Outreach/Other (30)

VI. Motions (50)Upcoming Meetings
